Dante Washington?

Has anyone heard any news..? Other than him trying out for the team, has anyone heard anything about him suiting up for RSL and if so, who gets the axe?

Any speculation? thoughts? actual news?

note: I will move this discussion to player talk if and when Washington becomes an RSL player.

This morning's Trib said that he was likely to travel with the team to Village People Land this weekend and that someone else would probably be released.

I count 19 players with the addition of Baumstark so it looks like 2 might have to go. I'm surprised that Baumstark wasn't put on the Dev in the place of Palmer. Maybe he was, but they just don't show it on the website.

So, out of those guys which one would go? Behnke?

It wouldn’t necessarily have to be a senior roster player. It could be a Reserver…

I guess it could be. I didn't think about that, but then they would have to move someone from the SR to the DR and who would that be?

I like the fact that we may be gaining a big target forward. That might open up the offense with him and Kreis up top. That leaves a question mark on what to do with both Clint and Andy however.

I think that we might lose one of our reserve side outside mids to make room for Dante. With adding Trembly already that means Novak or Cutler may have become expendable. That way we could possibly slide Luke K. to the reserve team to develop. Is that even an option or does the senior roster spot guarantee him top 18 status?

I don't think Baumstark counts. I read something somewhere about us invoking some hardship rule that got him as a backup keeper. So there's that. And I can't really think of anyone on that list to get rid of. Maybe Trembly, but only 'cause I haven't seen him play much. :o
