Well my program finishes in Italy in March 2006... I'm thinking about getting an illegal job for a few months and then going up to Germany for the WC in June... Of course I'd miss a lot of RSL's season. It would probably be worth it though, don't you think? Anyway I am sans wife and kids so I can feel good about doing it! :D

Sure, sure... but you seem like a well-adjusted, not too strange sort of individual, so I would wait a while before assuming the "single" status is going to last too long. 😉 You never know what'll happen with these things!

I have World Cup Qualifier memories. I have Gold Cup Memories. I have MLS, APSL & USISL memories.

But I am the Hugo Perez/Jeff Agoos/Robin Fraser/Chris Armas of fans. I keep getting these annoying jobs where I actually have to work instead of going to World Cups.

Yeah, bummer. That's the only kind of job I've ever been able to find. What's wrong with us?🙁 😕

My first World Cup memories came in 1990. I don't remember who I watched, all I remember is that I liked what I saw, and I scoured TNT for as many games as they were showing.

By 94 I was ready to hit the World Cup head on. Our family grabbed a couple of passes for the games to be held at Stanford Stadium. Because we were sharing I chose to see Brazil-Cameroon and the Second Round match. It turned out to be my first USMNT game as they lost to Brazil 1-0. At the time what impressed me more than the game were the people. There were people everywhere around the stadium. Hundreds of thousands of Brazilians clad in yellow running around, climbing traffic lights, and hanging out of cars, created an amazing atmosphere.

This past tournament in 2002 was exciting not only because of Nats performance, but because the party in my basement grew by the match! Fun times!

Am I the only one who pulls out old tapes of World Cup matches just to relax?
