No highlights... |

No highlights... I perused MLSnet.com last night to see that we prevailed 2-0. In my excitement and euphoria I mistakenly had a stupid thought. I thought to myself, wow I should watch SportsCenter on ESPN and view the highlights of the game. Much to my dismay there were none, go figure. Thusly, I sent the following e-mail to ESPN.
Instead of more drivel on Barry Bonds staph infection or any other baseball steroid controversy (when was the last time you guys didn't mention steroids?) Why couldn't you at least show a couple of highlights of the two MLS games that took place Wednesday evening. It's been 10 years and MLS isn't just going away. Throw in a couple of highlights of at least the goals scored. Thanks, Brian __________________

Other than a few highlights in plays of the week, they really don't give us much. __________________

So SoccerPrime gets home last night midnight his time (10pm RSL time).
He turns on ESPN News to see the scores of various events. "Wow" SoccerPrime says to himself "I see MLS on the bottom ticker". After waiting 5 minutes for all the important MLB stats to go by it gets to MLS. "Crap" SoccerPrime says to himself, as the Divers/CRapids score scrolls by. "They didn't even put the RSL/Chivas score up. Figures" SoccerPrime then goes to bed, only to find Mrs. SoccerPrime asleep with SoccerPrime #1 and SoccerPrime Jr. "Oh well" SoccerPrime passes out. 🙄

Maybe you got home too late, but the local news is probably your best bet for Real Highlights. Especially on a wednesday.

I live in Boise and my local news is probably unaware that there is an MLS league, let alone an MLS team in Salt Lake. I wore my Eddie Pope Real Salt lake replica t-shirt at work last week and no one new what it was for. They asked if I was mocking Salt Lake with a Catholic reference (Pope on a Salt Lake shirt.) This is a very large company I work for and I didn't get any knowing glances from anybody, it was a little disappointing.
I hope that the front office sets up an exhibition game up here sometime. I know the Jazz used to run their training camp up here and they gathered a lot of fans that way. __________________

Would they have to play on the smurf turf, or is there another stadium in the area at which RSL could play. Do either ACI or NW Nazarene have big enough stadiums? __________________

I noticed that the ESPN ticker didn't have our game either. That was lame. Dude, who is SoccerPrime #1?? I can't believe you weren't more upset that Mrs. SoccerPrime was asleep with SoccerPrime#1!!! ...shut up Jake. __________________

Ahh, yes...well that would be a problem. Man, that's twice today I've blown it because I wasn't paying attention. I accidentally called Clarette Nelly instead of Nessie as well. I've heard she raps well though, so it's an honest mistake.
