Comparing NHL prices to MLS might work for Rover in LA but for you Utahns who have only the Grizzlies (maybe, maybe not), they are still affordable and fun entertainment.
Support your local hockey team. You guys should give props to the Grizzlies owner. He sued the NHL Dallas Stars because he didn't feel they gave him good enough players and then quit the AHL all together because he was forced to be partnered with the sucky Phoenix Coyotes (who are/will be coached by Wayne Gretzky). Now he wants his own private club in another league so that Utah fans will get the most of the buck.

I agree that we should support any local sports franchise (I even go to Raptors and Owlz(Provo Angels) games. I, however, am not a fan of the Grizzlies owner (David Elmore). The main reason for him wanting to remove the Grizzlies from the AHL is money. Most of the teams that they play are on the Eastern part of the U.S. He is looking at selling the franchise, but he has a vested interest in the E-Center (I think his company manages it). So, I think the bottom line is what is important to him. As far as looking out for Utah and making sure they get the most out of their buck, I guess we will see if ticket prices change once they move to a lower division.

Absolutely. I'm talking about the Bay Area, DC, and LA--the last three places I've lived. None of the NHL teams in those areas had reasonable pricing. But the San Diego minor league team does. So I concur--support your local team.

Support your local stuff if you will. I won't support a hockey team at all because I don't care at all for hockey. I don't care for baseball either, so you will never catch me at a stingers game. I think most people feel like me, they support what they like and nothing more. That is probably why the Grizzlies are headed to a lower division. They don't make enough to support the upper echelon expenses.
