Liverpool win 3-2 on penalties. Sheva had a chance to tie at 3 but he tried to be cute and chip it in. How did liverpool finish off that comeback. I'm disapointed as he!! that Milan blew it but what a comeback by liverpool.

I really hate penalty kicks as a way to decide a soccer game. I think that they should just keep playing until someone scores no matter how long it takes. Give them some more subs for every overtime period or something, but just keep playing.

I remember watching a hockey game that lasted about 5 hours and it was great. The drama and intensity was just amazing with both teams knowing that one single goal would decide the game. I really wish soccer would do the same thing.

Although, I'm sure that people against would say that it wouldn't be fair if they had to play another game soon because it was an early round in a championship and that would give the other team they would be playing next an unfair advantage, which I can kind of understand. But there isn't any reason I can think of for a championship game to ever be decided on penalty kicks.

Some fool erased my TiVoed copy of the game, so I missed it. I'm disappointed to hear the Italian side lost, but I'm more disappointed that I missed such a great game (by all accounts). I really enjoy the Champions League a lot. Well, good job Liverpool, congrats. Perhaps next year for the Serie A teams!

Don't feel bad you just missed the best soccer game that I have ever personally witnessed... :D

(Sorry I had to be a jerk... that is what I do best.)

An unbelievable match--what soccer can be in the biggest competition.

Not the best played, however, so it won't go down as a classic on the technical side. But great to watch.

No, I didn't think Liverpool could come back from 0-3 against Milan. The Italians wrote the book on defense. But somehow the Reds got it done.

When Shevchenko put back to back sitters right into the keeper, you had to feel Milan were done. Penalties proved it.

I don't support either team, but it was tough to see one of them lose. that's the game--Liverpool earned the trophy and congratulations to them.

But the shouldn't get Everton's CL spot next year. Everton played by the rules, finished in the top four, and earned their way in. If Liverpool gets a special invite, fine, but not at Everton's expense.

I agree! I don't think it proves a whole lot, most of it is chance; which way will the goalie go.

That was a great game by the way. It didn't end the way I wanted, but still a good game.

Milan's offense was strugging at the beginning but picked up. I thought for sure they had it in the bag, but then the second half came along 🙄

I have never like Liverpool FC, always been something about them i didn't like. So i wanted Milan to win. The bishop in my ward is a massive Liverpool fan, and at half-time i was sending him text messages along the lines of '3-0, COME ON MILAN!' whilst at the same time laughing at my viewing companions who happen to come from Merseyside. At full-time i had to turn my 'phone of. And my housemate tipped my chair over.

I have been a fan of Everton this year. I guess I am rooting for any of the EPL smaller clubs.

Didn't Spurs used to be the biggest club in London?
