While we did better retaing posession in the midfield this game, I saw very few probing passes that would actually do some damage. It seems the only way we can attack at all is if we get somebody wide with the ball. Of course our crosses generally suck.

When is Cleetus going to connect on one of these free kicks? He has only forced one save the whole year on a free kick. He has found a few heads, but he needs to score on some of those himself.

I don't understand how, despite us playing with five midfielders, we continue to let the opponent's midfield (Chris Armas, Ronnie O'Brien, Bob the garbage man, whatever) run circles around us.

By about minute 70, everyone around us had given up on the game and was throwing beach balls around and doing the wave. Which says it all, really.

I don't care what Coach E has to do to stop the rot, but it has got to stop soon.

I was happy with Andy's hustle. I've been grieved by his lack of effort during most games, and am happy with his performance when he shows effort. It's hard for me to be that disappointed when people at least try - even if they don't produce. Sure I was unhappy with the eventual result, but couldn't pinpoint any one thing that screwed us up other than the ball watching and ball launching that was mentioned before.

The World Cup game made the night one for the memories. I'll just forget that Real disappointed 30,000 fans in a chance to perhaps garner more support. Too bad we weren't playing Chivas!

Was I the only one a little disappointed with Trembly last night? He didn't seem to be doing as well as he usually does. Maybe it was just me, but it seemed like every time he got the ball he would give it away right away or pass it to no one.

From a TV viewer perspective, Seth Trembly played hard but not smart.
If we could get the rest of RSL to play at least as hard as Trembly, then we wouldn't be having a depressing conversation.
Trembly really needs to work on his crosses and dribbling. Oh goal scoring practice would help too, but the whole team needs that, including Kreis and Mathis.
