Not seen it... but I liked 'at home with the Brathewaites' I thought that was pretty cool. Prime Suspect is good as well as Inspector Morse, Cracker(the British version)and Messiah....

OK, I've got all 6 episodes of the US version of The Office. If you have a Google account or some other high-storage email, I could try emailing you one of them - such as Diversity Day, or the first episode - both, in my opinion, were the best of the 6. PM me your email address if you're interested.

The Office is classic--Netflix the DVDs if you haven't seen the BBC series. You won't regret it.
I also HIGHLY recommend Arrested Development. You can get the first season of that series on DVD, and if you don't like it I'll buy it from you (it's that good). But you have to watch the whole season, because they build on previous episodes.

I'm pumped that they are bringing back Arrested Development for a third season. It is the best show that no one is watching.

I've loved The Simpsons for a very long time (going back to the days when I watched The Tracy Ullman Show specifically to see the short 30 second Simpsons spots in between the rest of the show). But right now the show that has me rolling with laughter week after week is Arrested Development. Hopefully it will finally catch on with mainstream viewers enough to stay on the air. As noted by others, you really have to watch this show every week to follow the continuing story lines.
(Did the other posters who mentioned this show know that Ron Howard helps produce the show and is the narrator?) Last edited by rabble-rabble : 06-10-2005 at 02:42 PM.

Speaking of good shows no one watches, we were really into John Doe a couple of years ago. Too bad it got cancelled.
Anyone else watch that show?

Another vote for Arrested Development.
My wife grew up in Orange County (nobody actually from there calls it "The OC"), where AD is set. I went to college there, was married there, two of my kids were born there, and I've been stationed there--you get the picture. The show is hilarious and clever for anyone, but we have the added value of getting all the Orange County inside jokes as well. I think the writing bogged down a little in Season II, but it picked back up with the later episodes. My kids are heavily into Lost, so I'm catching up on that. Other than that, I avoid series TV. Find me at FSC or GolTV.

I am a huge Lost fan. Somewhat peeved by how high and dry it left me, but awesome show none-the-less.
I'm glad to see that there are others that like Arrested Development. It always wins awards, but no one seems to watch it. Also, I will always be a Simpsons fan and actually know most of the Simpson trivia. Other than those shows, it's either SportsCenter or Spongebob Squarepants because the kids wont let me watch anything else.

I just started weatching Green Wing on BBC America on Thursdays. It's the Brittish Scrubs I guess or is SCrubs another knock-off of a British show? I like them both. QUOTE] We watch Green Wing every week. Hilarious stuff. A lot of the fresher shows on TV are on BBC America.
