Behavior was similar at the Chicago match, but not quite as bad as at FC Dallas.

In his defense for the you suck thing, we are the only MLS group (or soccer supporters club anywhere) that I know of that doesn't have a set chant or song for the opposing goalie on goal kicks. Usually it is "ooooooooooh, you suck a--hole". I am sure you heard the Nats supporters doing this at the WCQ. Telling the goalie he sucks is basically a soccer tradition.

Screaming the f-word when it is dead silent is probably not the coolest thing ever, but then again, should a supporters section be dead silent?

So who's flags were they? Do the flag owners know who the guy is? I think this cat had a couple friends with him.

Also, "We Mess With Texas" made my list of top ten chants at any match ever, but "tattooed flag dude" wasn't "we mess with texas" dude. Does Mr. "We Mess With Texas Post" here?

He was with another guy who also has tats, gauges but blonde hair. Loyal1 had to ask them to keep it down during the game. I don't know either's name, but the flags belong to The Cup, I believe.

Doesn't that sound odd? We had to ask him to keep it down during the game. Was it quiet?

Loyal1 essentially said, "Let's stay together guys. We're not gonna do any good unless we're on the same page." He wasn't trying to silence them exactly, just trying to get them to pay attention to the people around them. I think.

Hopefully it will stop though. I know one of the guys in that group and he looked really embarrassed because of that guy. Maybe he'll have enough guts to say something (well, one can hope).

The you suck chant would probably be all good in the eyes of the loyalists. This guy wasn't doing that. He would scream like a drunken maniac. People were looking around like, "what's up with this maniac."

There was even a point where, because of the obnoxious nature of the guy, we (the Loyalists) were trying to drown out his drunken heckling with a chant. This was probably the third time we'd performed this manuever, and this guy finally took it to the next level and tried to scream, "You suck, Garlick, you suck!" over the top of the cheer.

If only he would use his powers for Good instead of Evil!

Most MLS clubs and Mexican clubs have several supporters' clubs. Maybe this guy could start up our version of the Riot Squad......the non-family-friendly, Profanity-mandatory group.
