Seriously, doesn't it sound like Ellinger was referring to us fans or the SL Trib at least?
I am actually glad that he is "going off" a bit. Maybe an angry Ellinger will get better results.
:D

So, you can't score goals and play defense? Looks like San Jose has done a pretty good job of it. As a matter of fact, every team we've played has done well with scoring goals and playing defense. That quote, I think, is from a very frustrated man.

I agree, he is frustrated, but he shouldn't make it sound like he chooses his line-up based on what the fans are grumbling about either.

I thought the same thing. It sounded like he was trying to place blame for the team's shutouts somewhere other than where it belongs.

It's not really news, but it's from a soccer blog that I follow. Here's the little bit about RSL from the weekend review:

My favorite team, Real Salt Lake, is now the most goal-inept-for-the-longest-consecutive-period-of-time team in MLS history, bypassing the previous record set by the Galaxy. It's been 511 minutes since RSl scored a goal ... that's almost five whole games. Someone dive for a penalty already! With Mathis out this Wednesday due to yellow card accumulation, internet cult hero Jamie Watson will most likely get a start ... hopefully the UNC product will cause a goal for the Monarchs against Landon and the Galaxy this Wednesday.

Internet cult hero? LOL I thought that was funny, had to share.

Actually thats not true. RSL has the longest ungoal streak for away games. DC has the longest ever ungoal streak, which we can beat by not scoring in the first half on Wednesday.

Come on, we can do it! πŸ™„
