Joder, Tio! Llegan los merengues!

Don't worry, the link is in English.

The Galaxy versus Los Galacticos.

The Galaxy always plays European visitors pretty well.

I wonder if they will stop off here & take Raul Lopez back?

Does anyone else see something fundamentally wrong with this announcement?

Should the Galacticos be playing the Galaxitives?

Should they not be coming to Salt Lake?

I mean hello? Real Madrid... Real Salt Lake.

Does anyone else recall the statement that RSL had a relationship with Real Madrid? Does anyone else think that it appears that it is LA Galaxy that have a relationship with Real Madrid and not RSL?

I am angry about this but like Neil said... post any details here... cos i wanna go too...

Yeah, poor Uncle Dave got kind of knocked down with this. I'd be ticked if I were him.

Actually the only agreement RSL has is with the Bundeslinga side, Hanover 96.
Perhaps we can look forward to them visiting Utah soon.

I'm in SoCal and there's no way I'm going.

Hey, it's Real Madrid. I'm a Barca fan. I won't even bother seeing them just to jeer.

We may have the "Real" name but we've got Barca colors. Now, if I could talk Coach Ellinger into losing the all-white (Madridesque) road kit, maybe we'd win away from home.

Yes that is true that Hannover is the only official relationship, but one of the justifications Uncle Dave gave for naming the team Real Salt Lake was that we/he had a 'relationship with Real Madrid'.
I cannot find the exact quote but I know it is out there.
Hannover 96 are supposed to visit before 2007

Of course I would be required to wear my Atletico de Madrid jersey and scarf to the game, but it would still be amazing for Real Madrid to stop by SLC.

If RSL can unite a Merengue fan, a Colchonero and a Barcelona fan; then we must be doing something right.

Of course, Real Madrid should play here. Madrid & Salt Lake City both have pretty churches, underachieving basketball teams and both places are too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer.

I don't think that whoever is managing my Merengues this week wants to risk his players' knees on our Field Turf.
