Chicago has a guy standing in front of Section 8 leading their cheers too.

That has been suggested before:

The cheers and drumming have to be lead by someone who is not concerned with missing a lot of action on the field for a supporters section to be really successful.

Royal Corner could work, but it needs something. Cavalier's Corner at least has alliteration.

The Dungeon, maybe

Regal Roundtable?

Regal something, help me

I think this is very premature seeing as how no one knows where the Rogue Cavaliers Brigade will end up sitting.

Those are the only 2 I have ever been involved in with MLS, and therefore the only ones I can speak to.

Well I looked all over the Revs supporters site and couldn't find any listing of meetings during the season.

Can you find it?

I'm not involved with Revs support right now obviously, but when I was a lot of the communications were via an email list. If this issue really concerns you I will get in touch with some of my old friends and see what their schedule is like this year.

On that note, who saw the Revs/Metrostars match this week end? It was incredible.

Off-topic: The Revs/Mutts game was great. After the Mutts scored 2 quickly (led by the King of Goals himself) I though it was looking bad for the Revs. But bam! they came right back. Plus it didn't hurt the excitement level that Jose "Pepe" Cancela scored in the first 30 seconds!

Anyway 😉 The only reason I ask about meetings during the season is because I checked Chicago, DC and NE's supporters websites and couldn't find any meetings scheduled. So thats why the Loyalists don't have them. Of course we could meet during the season (easy for me to say). If you have something that says otherwise, I would love to read it.
Thanks

Interesting concept. I think this is cool that we are getting enough supporters that we may have to do this. Most excellent! I was affraid before the season began that there wouldn't be enough of us, that I would look dumb with my flags. Now we have more than one group and we are working on getting more organized! Rock on.

With respects to Section 8, are they named that because at the old Soldiers Field they actually sat in the 8th section, or did they take that name from the Army and their Section 8 discharge for someone that has gone insane? (Example, Klinger on TV's MASH)

Quite awhile ago on Bigsoccer someone had suggested we come up with a name for our section. This was even before the season had begun. I suggested "Blood Gutter" because it was a fencing term I had remembered from when I took a fencing class durring college at Weber State. It sounds cool but it never caught on. And it wouldn't work I don't think if we are looking for umbrella names.

If anyone is wondering what Blood Gutter means it refers to the old days of fencing. Today they have their sword (although they don't call them swords, I can't remember what they call them though) wired up with sensors that can tell when enough force is applied to the opponent to count as a strike or a point. But back in the old days of fencing they would actually have to break skin and draw blood to count as a point or a victory. To know if they had drawn blood they made a small slit or cut in the blade which they called the "gutter", and then when they would strike their opponent with enough force that slit would fill with blood. Hence, Blood Gutter. I just thought it sounded cool though.

But I'm sure we can come up with something more fitting.

Keep the name suggestions comming.

The King's Own--maybe obscure, but can be adopted by any group (TKO Loyalists, TKO RCB, whatever).

The Armory--kind of a play on arsenal, but fits all our groups and sounds cool too.

Personally, I like the Armory, the Rampart, and the Keep. I also like the Dungeon. I think I like the Dungeon, best, as a matter of fact.

Anything but Blood Gutter! That's just a little too intense for me.
