How bad is the Western Division?

This morning's average GF/GA stats:

Eastern 3.5 (brought down mostly by the horrendus Columbus Crew)

Western -3.5

Even the better Western teams have been unable to pull out many wins against the East this season.

So while I have been vocally complaining that we have no offense, it is a western division problem as well.

Keep in mind Ska, they have 6 teams that have been playing together for awhile....

the west has two expansion teams, the horrible goats and our beloved RSL who set a new record this year. I can't remember what that record is <fuegote throws a black streamer>.

no excuses but that does add to the western woes.

But we have them where it ultimately matters, wins, ties, and points. I'll take those over a few extra goals a game.

The East also got some help with the addition of Kansas City, who let's all remember were the Western Champs last year.

We lose one our best teams to the East and get two expansion teams to even things up. Once that plan was announced, it was bound to be a rough year in the West.

So, by saying that the Western conf is weaker, are we saying that Dallas's great record is a scam?

By my count they're only 2-1-1 against the East, and they haven't played the Revs yet. They split the two Brimstone Cup games.

So I think the jury's still out on FCD, but I my guess is they're good enough to win the Cup.

Dallas is 2-1-1 against the East which is very respectable.

The Galaxy popping in two Own Goals in a row vs. San Jose didn't help the appeal of the west. We actually have one more team in the West than the East. Galaxy Home team (Good) the Galaxy road team (Expansionesque.)
