DJ's Dreamkeeper dinner

ok....first thread I have ever started......hope its in the right place.

DJ's Dreamkeeper foundation dinner has been moved from July 12th to Monday July 11th. The cost is $50 (I'll verify that for sure tomorrow) Businesses have already bought tables. Individual tix should be available (again...waiting for verification) I know my husband and I want to attend for sure, but I thought it would be great if we could get ourselves a loyalists/RCB....nix that......SUPPORTERS table if more wanted to attend.

For those of you I haven't met, this is near and dear to me. I have a child who had a tumor removed a few months back. While it was benign (thank you,Lord) it disfigured his beautiful little face. This child has met DJ on a few occasions and DJ has asked what he could do for him. While we aren't in immediate need of help, (thank you again, Lord, for insurance) I know the hell that a parent goes through when something horrible happens to your child. It warms my heart to know that they're are people like DJ that want to "soften" some of the blow.

Like I said, I will know more details tomorrow. If anyone is interested, please PM me so I will know if I need to reserve more tickets. Thanks everyone.

How much does a table cost? My brother-in-law died of brain cancer almost two years ago, and right before he got to the point that he couldn't function, one of these wish granting agencies sent him and his immediate family (no spouses 😢 ) to Hawaii.

Without the agency, (the Dream Foundation, I think) it wouldn't have happened.

I would probably chip in to get a table.

When I talked to DJ about this before, he said tables were going for $2500, but he wanted to do something a little less expensive for the Loyalists (which I'm sure also applies to the RCB since it wasn't in existence at the time). It sounds like he did that by dropping the price to $50 per plate which is much cheaper unless the tables hold 50 people each.

Of course, this is all based on a two week old conversation and the first post above so I could be totally off.

Me too. We should start an elitist club for people with DJ's gloves. :goof:

(And just in case anyone couldn't tell, that was a total joke. Well, the part about starting the elitist club was a joke. I really do have a pair of DJ's gloves. (Thank heaven for cute nieces. :D))

I think those of us who are the more sarcastic of the bunch, should have a sarcasm disclaimer at the bottom of each post (not a sig but part of the actual post in fine lettering).

Funny stuff, Aero!
