Create a separate forum? Why? That sounds like exactly what the RCB wants us to do. They have their separate forum, that's what they wanted. Why do we have to take responsibilty for the infighting they started here?

I can only elaborate on my perceptions and those of others I have talked to. When I first signed up, and was introduced to this forum, I felt that this was a Loyalists forum. I was referred to it by the Loyalists and Loyalists were predominately the posters on it - if not the only posters. Of course, back then, the Loyalists were the only supporters club using the forum. Once that changed last month, it took me a bit to try and change my perception of this forum. There may still be some whose perceptions have not changed, and this concern has been vocalized by some whose posts I have read here and at the RCB forum.

I agree with Aerick. I'm not sure how creating a forum to take away from this place is going to somehow make this place better. Neil has said repeatedly that this forum is for RSL fans. Any and all RSL fans are welcome to post here. I don't believe that has changed. I can't imagine anyone having a problem with any post that is directed towards RSL, no matter what supporter's group you belong to.

I should also say that I feel that Jules' concerns and intentions are valid and noble respectively, it's the method of solving the concerns that I'm not convinced of. Maybe what she recommends is indeed the only way to truly solve the problem, but I think it's worth a shot to try and keep as much of the posts here on this forum as possible before off-loading anything.

That's true, I have never felt unwelcome at this site. Also, this site has a built in forum for Loyalist topics and business. This thread's a part of it.

So, you're saying we still have a problem? I thought it was getting better that last few days, what are we missing?

Personally, I think everything on RSL.org is fine.
If people don't want to post here, then thats their decision.
And I don't think anything the Loyalists do is secretive, so I don't believe we need our own personal message board (besides this little-case forum).
If leadership feels something needs to be handled in committee first, then they can use email.

Hardee Har Har. 😛 That's about as stealthy as Conan O'Brien's Paris Hilton joke last night. 😁

Seriously though, I feel that this forum CAN and SHOULD be able to accomodate multiple supporters groups.

Someone once said that adversity makes us stronger. I believe that the recent struggles with RCB have only brought the Loyalists closer together and have helped us to redefine our purpose. I must have said something to upset RCB because I noticed that they didn't want me standing by them Monday. We can learn something from RCB, we need to be vocal in our support for our team, we need to be animated and excited about our lads on the pitch no matter whether they are winning or losing. I personally invite anyone that is interested in RSL to come join our forum. I knew hardly anything about soccer before I joined this board, I'm still a noob, but I know a lot more now than I did in March when I joined. I think this board serves a purpose to unite RSL fans and to educate soccer noobs and that it's serving that purpose well.

What I said was that there should be a separate "official" place to discuss Loyalists business. Not to tempt Loyalists away from here. Not to replace this place. But to make this place stronger by being a neutral place for all fans. The exit of RCB indicates that others do not feel welcome here. I'm saying that having another site for Loyalists business (not to discuss RSL, soda pop or love in's) would send a message that Neil's site is neutral.

In the past, we HAVE referred to this site as the official Loyalists forum. So is it? Or isn't it? If you want to leave things the way they are, we need Neil to give us an official definition of this site. Is this a "neutral" forum with an "official" subforum?

I'm not trying to create division. I'm trying to make this place a forum that is unifying. Does anybody other than me see the vision of this? Oh never mind. Nope. Whatever. I'm not all that set on it to make a big deal out of it. I'm just throwing the idea out there.

But by the way, the people who would appreciate this are already gone. Of course nobody who's left is going to agree with me....
