Red (should I say "claret") usually wins these things, and it's true that it stands out. I prefer blue because it has that Barcelona look. I know we're "Real" Salt Lake, but we've got Barcelona (or at least Sapnish National Team) colors so I'd like to see us go for that look-and it's a great look.

Another factor is that to stand out, you also have to be different than fans from other teams. If we wear cobalt blue, we'll be only remotely similar to the three MLS teams that wear blue--C-Rapids, the Wiz, and the Smurfquakes. If we wear yellow, we'll compete with the Galaxy and the Crew.

If we wear red, we'll blend nicely with DCU, Metro, baby cheese, Fire, Revs, and FCD fans. I don't want to blend at all with any of them.

Best solution if we go with red is to make the color significantly different--more burgundy than crimson. I admit my color IQ isn't high, so that's the best I can do.

I haven't seen them myself, but the shirt and design have already been chosen and are in production. Some kind of red shirt with a logo by McKid. If you look up McKid in the membership list, the logo used is his avatar.
