Get Involved

Any comments on how this is pseudo-organized? Note: this isn't anything official, still just ideas. So put your ideas out there.

Looks to be spread out fairly evenly so far, that's a good sign.

I thought Hiba would volunteer for gear duty, too! After all, she's like the #1 supplier of RSL children's gear in the USA!

Good work, everyone who is putting their money where their mouth is. I think there are a lot of people who simply want to complain but don't want to do anythign about it, but there are even more people who genuinely want to improve things. From our informal chat (which ended up happening on MSN Messenger) last night, I can add the following volunteers:

Welcome committee: aero's wife, taytay (sorry, taytay, your dad and luvmyboys volunteered you)

Tailgate: stucki, remus

Aero is willing to help out on gameday stuff and to put his programming skillzz to use wherever needed.

Momof8 can do some stuff from home since she doesn't have much time at games. She could make phone calls to update Loyalists email addresses, make sure people are getting newsletters, or whatever.

That's all great but people seemed to lose interest in talking about what needed to be done as soon as I started suggesting something concrete. Therefore, I'm not going to waste my time driving up to SLC tonight probably. I haven't decided yet for sure. Anyway, will somebody please take detailed notes of the pre-meeting meeting for me if I'm not there? Thanks.

I think the soccer game had more to do with that than anything. I actually thought that we got a lot done last night.

I'd be glad to help in any way I can, but I'm limited by being 700 miles from Salt Lake and by a serious deficit of IT skills.

Neither of those is going to change soon.

I can write, or so I'm told. I'd be glad to transcribe information, draft documents, or anything else that can be done remotely.

Oh I didn't mean during the chat. I meant on the forum during the last two days. 🙂

I'm sorry I didn't reply to this right away Jules. I didn't know it was up yet. I'm excited about getting this show on the road.

I don't think interest has tapered off when you talk concretes. I think people now know that the meeting is tonight, and on the 19/20, and they are going to take care of business then. I may be completely obsessed with it, but some other people are not going to let it get in the way of their personal lives.
