Loyalist New Agenda Discussion (part 2 the revenge)

Points of discussion:
In General ---> The direction/evolution of the Loyalists.

In Specific (from Scilaci)
1- What happened at the Iggy's unofficial meeting?
2- What points do you want brought up/resolved at the 7/19-20 meetings?
3- Where do you see the Loyalists in five years?
4- Add your own...

1- I wasn't at the Iggy's unofficial meeting so I can't answer that.
2- I am still thinking about the points I would like to make. I'm thinking of seconding Bordy7's motion to have a copy of the Loyalist Chain of Command printed (or even figured out in the first place from my perspective). I'm also thinking of introducing the idea of set bi-monthly or monthly meetings with a recorder who would put the minutes up in the Loyalists forum or Loyalists.com. Also, I think that using the internet for official votes via e-mail or forum would be helpful.
3- I see the Loyalists supporting a one time (at least) Cup winning team along side other supporter groups that have different directions/aims/modus operandi/ etc. than the Loyalists. I see the Loyalists as the venerable old-school/traditional/classic supporters group where people join to have a good tailgate and stand and cheer througout the game. I don't think the Loyalists will ever be too radical or as exciting as some people demand, but they will be dependable and worthwhile. I also see the Loyalists as an open, maybe even somewhat amorphous, group that is a "come one, come all" kind of place for new RSL fans.

Those are some, but not all, of my thoughts. What are some, not all (unless you love free-writing), of your thoughts? 😎

I think those are all good thoughts.

FYI
-All previous meetings minutes are on the website already (in case you didn't know)
-Loyalist chain of command is: Glenn/Loyal1, Pres-Dave/dysko, VP- Steve/Lucky13, Treasurer. They are the only elected officials. Staff would include Jules, myself, Deuce, Jasoncox and Neil (these are all loose "jobs" and none but Neil have any real authority).

Make sense?

No militant arm of the Loyalists actually exists, and if it were to exist, which it doesn't, it would not exist to belittle, harm, maime, molest or demean any other supporters group of RSL. Unless of course, said supporters group found itself to be in direct conflict with the Loyalists. Then and only then may the militant arm, which doesn't exist, function as an official entity. Additionally, the proposed entity may not only exist for the purpose of foiling deviant designs perpetrated by rival supporters groups, but may function to actually subvert negative PR and potentially harmful media geared towards the demise of RSL, MLS and indeed United States soccer as a whole. This statement should not be viewed as an all-inclusive list of the perview of the militant arm of the Loyalists, which doesn't exist.

By the way, to answer your questions:
1- Most of us that were there just talked unofficially about what was discussed on the forum and some other ideas that people had had. I believe Snarf, who was also present, has a great handle on everything, and will be attending the July 19th meeting with all the ideas.
2- See Above.
3- 1,000+ members strong. The model of a successful supporters club in the MLS and for other sports. The entire crowd becomes familiar with the majority of the chants and sings/chants along during their favorites. Real Salt Lake not only becomes THE venue for MLS, but one of the top venues in sports in the US, period.

Excellent graph Aerick.
My money is on Clarette or Hiba being the "Alias" type Syndey Bristow of our organization. Loyalists, Section 8, SD-6....hmmm....
(sorry watching too many Alias DVDs right now, man their good)

The disclaimer is even better than the Graph (which I really enjoyed)!
