Where does soccer rank?!!

jcbaer · 07-13-2005, 03:30 PM

Hey guys I found this poll at ESPN. Let's all chip in and make sure that soccer doesn't fall behind in the poles. Right now it is sitting at 8.

Let's stuff the ballot! :naughty:

I put soccer as 1, NBA as 2, and MLB as 3. Horse Racing was 16, bowling just beat it out, for me, because I saw a trick bowling show on ESPN one time, way cool. 👍

Thanks... 🙂 As of my vote it looks thus:

1. NFL
2. MLB
3. College Football
4. College Basketball
5. NHL
6. NBA
7. Golf
8. Soccer
9. Tennis
10. Boxing

Jim Umber · 07-13-2005, 04:40 PM

Okay, I voted. But what is wrong with these idiots that have NHL, and Golf ahead of Soccer? I mean the others, Football, Baseball, and Basketball, I can understand (I disagree, but I understand). They've been firmly entrenched in our culture. It would take a lot to move them. But Hockey? Golf (the only sport more boring to watch than Baseball)? Really....get a brain. 🤢 :yucky: :yuck:

rabble-rabble · 07-13-2005, 04:52 PM

The NHL did surprising high (even beating out the NBA) considering there was no season last year. Guess the news they may soon settle has hockey fans excited again.

I for one picked soccer, college pointyball, college hoops, the NFL, and softball (because I HAD to choose 5)

👋

it looks about right to me. some of those sports have been staples in american culture for years. would expect it to look about like that

SoccerPrime · 07-14-2005, 06:30 AM

Lets be honest here, what else do NHL fans have to do besides stuff polls?
I mean besides post on soccer forums :sweatdrop

HibaIssa · 07-14-2005, 08:40 AM

That was fun.

I'm wondering what everyone's top 10 are.

Mine:

1) Soccer
2) NFL
3) College Football
4) College Basketball
5) NHL
6) NBA
7) Action Sports
8) Tennis
9) MLB
10) Auto Racing

If I could watch sports all day I really would. I've even watched a ping-pong match once because nothing else was on.
