cheetos-Revs [R]

1-0 cheetos over the Revs.

So cheetos pick up three points and have equalled us on wins, even though we have a couple of games in hand.

The Revs were without their top players in attack (Gold Cup strikes again), and cheetos took advantage in a dreary game at the HDC.

The bad news is that cheetos are only a point behind us in the standings.

The good news is that we're no longer the only team to lose to them.

We can set things right on 6 August, a six point game we need to win if we want to retain any chance to make the playoffs.

I'm sure Revs fans are taking this well.

This result almost makes me want to go over to Big Soccer.

if Noonan and dempsey were there they would beat los cheetos, as Rover refers to them, so badly they would never show their faces

But as Jose Luis Luviano said a couple of months ago, the Gold Cup and the Aug/Sep qualifiers would be an opportunity for cheetos to make a run, since the teams the play would be missing key players and they'll have everyone on the roster available.

This kind of result was bound to happen, and it's actually a slam on cheetos that they haven't done even better during this period. But they have taken advantage, and that means we need to win the six-pointer on August 6th to stay off the bottom of the table.

For general knowledge, also, the "cheetos" name come from Greg Lalas, who commented after the draft last winter that every time Don Garber said the full name of the team (CD Chivas USA) it sounded like "seedy cheetos US Hey!" The name stuck.

Edit: I forgot to mention that you have many names to choose from for Jorge's lads. Or make up you own. Another popular favorite is Goats Lite.

Weather Forecast for this evening - we may end up escaping the rain due to only 30% chance of precip during the game in that zip code:

The Cheetos-Revs game was very, very depressing.

The poor Revs had, like, no midfield, and some of their players were appalling (yes, Khano Smith, I'm talking about you). As poorly as they played, they still had a chance to nick a point, which is even more depressing.

Did anyone else find Freddy Adu's last-minute heroics against the Galaxy absolutely hilarious?

I was very surprised by this game.
I was rooting for the Revs because I hate the Goats, but alas it wasn't Twellman's night.

And unfortunately between this and the CRaps game, all we did this weekend was stay even. But I'll take it!
