The Checketts Clan is watching...

I thought this was an interesting note in the DesNews... at the very end. We are being watched...

Can't help but wonder what they think of my opinion of a certain nameless memeber of the clan. Although I must admit that I have seen that person in the office more times since that little note than the entire rest of RSL's existence combined.

All that said, thanks to the head of the Checketts clan Uncle Dave for giving us a team in the first place. 😍

I can't seem to find much negative stuff about Clint Mathis from the Loyalists but whatever...

Well, Elizabeth, just know that we all love Clint, too. We're just frustrated because our favorite soccer stars are not performing as expected. We want to see them succeed.

I think that things are finally turning around. Saturdays game against FC Dallas, was a milestone. It was the first time, at least in my memory, that they had an offense, and a defense, and that they actually put it all together and won the game in a convincing manner.

Wins that we had in the past were not as convincing. They looked more like luck. But the team has been improving over the last few weeks (No, I haven't forgotten their low point, either. They may have lost to a lower division team, but they actually scored 4 goals. That was an improvement.).

This win was real, and deserved.

RSL is all he needs.

Well, he could start running a team in the big European cycling races........

I think Elizabeth Checketts must be reading the Clint Mathis thread over at BS.
I agree with her if thats where she is reading that.

Of course I can't believe Dave would let his 12-year old daughter near BS.
But I digress...

Uhh who are you people? You're suddenly in love with Clint as much as I am? 😉 There has been plenty of "Clint's not worth his salary" on this board. It's not like he's being personally attacked (too much), but there is PLENTY of complaining. There are like two people total who don't complain about Clint. :P

Complaining about Mathis not producing goals is different than calling for his head.
Because for 1/4 of the cost of the whole team, he hasn't produced.
Just ask him. He admits it freely all the time in the papers.

Sure theres been complaining here, but I don't think you have read the BS thread(s) on Mathis recently. Many here (myself included) are upset because we know Mathis can do it and just hasn't yet. The antagonists on BS claim Mathis was washed up way before coming to RSL (lies!).

Lets just say they don't like Mathis at all and their comments are NC-17 rating at best.

Of course his performance Saturday certainly helped the positive PR machine for Clint.
Lets hope it continues.

I have called out Cleatus a time or two in "Observations" and I stand by what I wrote there. But then again does anybody read them? Who would want to read the observations of a self-proclaimed Czar anyway?

Of course we love Cleetus this week, he scored a goal and assisted on another. Fans are fickle, it is always a case of what have you done for me lately.
