The north end…

Hearing the entire North end of RES really got me dreaming this weekend. We need to get them more involved. It was super hearing them chant “DJ countess” it was a lot of fun to chant, “get on your feet!” I loved seeing the kid with the flag going up and down the end trying to get some emotion out of them.

Some thoughts on how to encourage them to stand participate:

  • Get a goal in the N End….nothing we can do here.
  • and this is why I return from self imposed exile…

Loyal1 and I had a brief chat after the match about this and we need each other’s help (just like he are helping each other through the matches currently).

We need to get a drummer, or cowbell or someone who can keep beet, one person in front of each section, and coordinate a chant with them, so they can feel what it’s like to participate.

Can you hear them now?

Picture this…

Loyal’s in the middle with Stucki to section on his right, and fuegote to the section on his left… Loyal1 starts, “we’re on our way…..” with us helping.

Now the section in the E31 and E33 are already doing this since they know when to chant, but then we get the N End to help out as well….and we keep doing this to get more and more participation.

It will only grow from here….

and mrs. fuegote had a great time. I'm trying to convince her to get season tickets now since having her there is obviously the reason why we won.

It's not up to the level of an RCB cowbell; but I will bring my minibell to the Goats Lite game.

Great ideas.

I think the whole cowbell thing is great. Maybe it's because I'm from Texas, or grew up a Texas Aggie fan, but cowbells just fit with what we're trying to do. The sound carries, you can maintain a beat, and they just sound cool.

Anyway, some coordinated cowbelling should accomplish the mission.

Can't wait to hear it. Bring on the cowbells.

We need somebody standing in front of the crowd getting people going... maybe more than one person. Could we make some big signs with some of the simpler chants on them to get people started? I don't want to miss the games at all, but I'd be willing to do this one week or something because of the awesome impact it could make on the game. So who is going to volunteer other than old (it's official today... 27.), out of shape lady?

That's what I forgot to mention, there will be times when someone needs to sacrifice not watching the match to get the N.End going. It's not a whole match thing either, just the occasional, "we want everyone involved let's get going" chant.

hahahaha
Why hire them when you can get them for free... from the Loyalist/RCB ranks
Our ranks may not be as asthetically pleasing as the plastic, saline implanted, botox injected... cosmetically enhanced, phoney smile girls, but ours will be cheaper and actually believe in what they are cheering for...
but I am not against professional cheerleaders.... ok well maybe I am....

Great ideas Fuegote... and welcome back

I brought my wife to the 4th, and now she wants in all the time. Looks like I'm getting 4 season tix next year instead of just 2, and am buying an extra 2 for all the matches we're attending the rest of this season.

At first my wife was neutral-soccer, then she saw how involved I got and it made her anti-soccer, and then she came to a game (now 2 games) and she's very pro-soccer. I love my wife. 🙂
