LOL! I know that is a bit much but everyone is entitled to there opinions.

I am just letting ppl know they have other choices... The Loyalists are not for everyone... That is true... so now there is another group out there...

3 groups and growing... it is all a sign of the great soccer culture that is here and still developing.

To be honest I am just happy to be a part of it all.

Thanks for the link, Deuce.

That was an interesting (long) article. It kind of scares me that my former science teacher was mentioned, but whatever 😛

More choices the better... although I have to admit that I see the Jesters and RCB becoming one as hings evolve. But, I would love to be wrong... we need all the strong supporters groups we can get.

I guess I’m just oblivious to everything going on because I always thought that the Jesters were part of RCB. Oops.

Great article! I especially like this part:
Quote:
To The Jesters, The Loyalists are goose-stepping geeks
😉

Not sure what it means though. 😁

At this point, I'm happy to have any passionate fans in our section to help buoy the support - Jesters, RCB'ers, and Loyalists alike. Even if we may not agree on the methods, we can all agree to support RSL in a passionate way that can make us the best fans in MLS and the members of the team proud to play for RSL!

Glass-half-empty approach:
What a jerk!

Glass-half-full approach:
I guess we shoud be honored that other RSL fan groups define themselves basically by how they think they are different than the Loyalists.

Someone remind me again how we are a "tool" of the Man?
Considering Dysko wrote the by-laws before RSL existed, I don't quite get how we conform to being the Right-Hand of the Club.

And of course, I can't resist saying that the Jesters are obviously not the only independent and multi-ethnic supporters club for RSL.
😍

The more the merrier. I can't wait until we have a hundred different groups all throughout the stadium.

I think a lot of the "goose-stepping" rhetoric is the author's, and it's pretty typical of City Weekly, really. I don't mind the occasional world-weary pose, but they've made an art form of it. Anything that they 1) don't get, or 2) don't like gets the "le sigh" treatment. Not that it wasn't helpful--I always wondered how the guy two rows up smuggled his vodka in.

:punk:
