A familiar face and two very good signs at practice this morning...

A familiar face that has been away for awhile

And two very promising signs...

I see Leighton, should we be worried?
Actually we won't let anyone go until August 13's match against KC.

Yeah, Pastorino said on TV last night that they wouldn't let anyone go until the last minute, because of potential injuries and all that good stuff.

I assume the 4pm practice is an attempt to acclimate to playing on the turf in extreme heat.

Well, it looks like Pope was back practicing with everyone else today.

It looks like DJ should play, he doesn’t seem to be bothered by any injuries.

I know it’s just the beginning of the week, but it looks like they’re starting to form the lineup. It’s not a full one yet, but this is what I saw today:

------------Countess?------------
Dunseth---Pope---Kamler---Broome
---------Williams---Mathis---------
------------Kreis---Cila------------

Again, it’s early in the week and it also looks like we’re missing a few spots.

The most encouraging thing that I saw at practice today was that they did all their shooting drills on the North goal instead of the South goal today. Hopefully, they will stay down there all week long. Maybe a little practice shooting down there will do them some good and we'll actually get to celebrate a goal on our end this week.
