Yeah late July and most of August have stifling heat during the day and the transition to evening is more often then not heralded by a nice thunderhead... it really makes for some interesting sky watching... but I am sure it is not nearly as exciting as the storms in the plains states. Tornadoes although I have not seen any on land. I have seen several water spouts, which are the same but on water. Tornadoes seem like they would be a sight to behold.

I'd love to see a tornado. That would be awesome.

When we had the tornado here in Salt Lake a few years ago, the one guy that had lived in the Midwest and knew what tornados were all about headed for the basement. While another group of native Utahns went up on top of our building to see if they could get a look. I guess that right there shows just how much we Utahns really know about tornados.

Speaking of tornadoes, apparently we had one last night on the Great Salt Lake! They showed some digital pictures of it on the news last night taken from somone in Davis County. It looked pretty big!

Hey was by brother-in-law in that group. He and his college room-mate tried out running one in his car. He did okay until the darn thing turned on them. They had to bail out and laid low in a ditch. 👌

We had fun at the game. I didn't mingle much, but did meet Deuce. My kids (at least my sons) were pretty much star struck. They brought some signs, some of you may have seen them, and held them up during the game. Watson saw them too, and came over after the game and said hello to the kids. They were able to get a couple autographs and raved about it all night.

I enjoyed the game. :goodstuff RSL should have put a couple in the net, but they were just off a bit. Nice to see Scarlett out there...looks pretty quick.

On the weather...didn't look like much of a storm during the game, but it sure did dump rain on us during the drive home. I live in Syracuse and there was a tornado warning issued about 9:00, but nothing ever came of it. Rare for Utah. Did look pretty mean coming in from the Great Salt Lake.

We have lots here! It's funny tho, you have to install an underground storm shelter if you want to be able to protect yourself because almost none of the houses have a basement.

Thunderstorms are cool...

Actually, we DID have a tornado last night ON the Great Salt Lake! They showed it on the news last night (can't remember the channel, though).

Didn't see that. The channel I watched didn't say anything about an actual tornado touchdown...wish I could have seen it, would've been cool.
