He deserved to be red-carded even BEFORE the faking incident. This is a no-brainer.

Actually that's classless hack, and I started that thread. It has since devolved into racial attacks and has been closed by the BS mods, but my point was that this isn't the first time Romo has pulled this crap. The previously mentioned game in Colorado was where it started.

Yes but it was the word Classless used to describe him that people or should I say one person schooled everyone on...

That is why I used "Classic" here.... I didn't want the speech doctor to come over here and school me on the derrogatory use of the word classless... or any other word for that matter...

He just could not get it through his head that ppl are able to use specific words to describe a specific person without smeering his ethnic origin... or painting all people of the same ethnic origin with the same quote.

He could not grasp that if you called Hitler a Jew-hater that you were NOT calling every single German a Jew-hater. It was rather pathetic really.

Mathis and Romo were going at each other before the "incident". Romo threw an elbow at Clint's head--I think the kicking of the ball was just gas thrown on a smoldering fire.

Regardless of what the ref did or didn't do during the game, MLS needs to send a message about this stuff.

We've all been there--talking up soccer with the uninitiated, working through the arguments about lack of scoring and "foreignness" only to have to deal with the fakery issue. Any argument we might make falls apart when a starting player on an MLS team pulls that kind of crap on national television. And to make it worse, it wasn't even in the run of play.

Discipline him and make a big deal about it. Send a message to players, fans, media, and coaches.

Our league is better than this kind of behavior. Eddie Johnson's fakery that cost Eddie Pope a red card was bad enough. Romo's actions bring the game into disrepute. MLS has to take strong action to eliminate this behavior.

Too bad we didn't bring our diving scorecards again. We need to remember those for future games.

They were still in our gameday bag and I actually took them out and said "I guess we won't need these today." Boy was I wrong.
