San Antonio Wizards?

Soccernet Article

This isn't a NEW idea, but it may be gaining some steam. I still hope the Wizards will stay in KC if possible, but we could be looking at a 2nd texas team in MLS.

We'll see. I still think only the mayor of SA is interested, and he is out this April. Lets see how much passion the city of SA is once the main cheerleader has no power.
I hope the Wiz stay in KC, please!

Could be the Seattle Wizards... or even the Houston Wizards...
Those are another couple of cities interested in an MLS team.

As much as I would like the Wizards to stay in KC, I am a realist, I feel they will be on the move in '06

Yeah but KC has the largest soccer adult/youth clubs in the USA. The have a history now with the Wizs. I think its more likely that a new ownership group will come forward for the Wizs in KC than a new city/owner pops up and moves them (I don't really believe SA has a real investor, neither does Rochestor or Philly). The only city I see right now is Seattle. But who knows, Checketts and SLC came out of no where too.
