from dhunter on BS:

Here is a quick update on Jason Kreis. He will be traveling with the team to New England and according to Jake (RSL trainer) there is no fracture, it is just a bruised foot. He wouldn't travel if the foot was broken or badly injured, so i think he might be used as a sub for the NE game depending on how quickly the pain and swelling go away.

He said it was fine at practice today. I also didn't see a noticeable limp. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts.

Been there. I had a stress fracture same place but I kept coaching on field with the kids for weeks. The pain was for only the first 2 steps. Healing is slow but putting the foot in a cast is not always the treatment. I just wore tight fitting boots and took it easy for a while. Gook healing!!

Kreis Traveling To New England:

After leaving the 2-1 win on Saturday, August 6 against Chivas USA on crutches Jason Kreis will be traveling to New England for match up with the Revolution on Wednesday, August 10 at 5:30 p.m. MT at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. Kreis had a MRI this morning and the diagnosis was a right foot strain. His status for the game against the Revolution this Wednesday is probable. Kreis will continue his hunt for his 100th career MLS goal against the Revolution. In his career he has seven goals against the Revolution, with three of those coming on the road.

It would be great if he got a couple of assists against the revs instead of goals (so he doesn't break 100 on the road) and saves his 2-goals for the game at home against the Wizards. One goal against the Revs wouldn't be bad either. Glad to hear he wont be missing any games.
