Revealing my star wars dorkiness here, but Chewbacca was not the last, at least unless Lucas has changed the story for this film (which I haven't seen yet). After the first star wars, they had a tv special that was a star wars christmas show. In this show they went to Kashyyyk, the home of the wookiees, and showed chewbacca's mother, father etc. I must admit that I only know this because I have a friend who really knows his stuff. I'm not quite that cool.

That was horrible, HORRIBLE!, it was a musical! princess Leia sang! chewy had a kid named lumpy or somethng, and his dads name was like ichi, yea! ichi the grampa wookie.

i dont know what was worse, the christmas special, or the ewok TV movies that came a few years later. wait, yes I do. The christmas special for sure!

I am excited about the Fantastic 4 movie, but because I read comics as a kid. I didn't even know they had a cartoon... 🙂

As for the Wookiees (2 e's), they are alive and well. I am such a SW geek I have read 60% of the post-Return of the Jedi novels. They are...greeeaat! *any questions, just ask.*

Yes, but as far as George Lucas is concerned, those novels are about as legit as Clarette's DJ Countess Fanfic. He doesn't stick to any of the crap those folks write. The only ideas that matter are his own, unfortunately. That's how we got saddled with Midi-clorians (or however you spell that).
