K9 Web Protection by Blue Coat

[DadOf8]

Here's a shameless plug for my company.

K9 is based on a new generation of filtering technology. Better than the approaches used in the past, it's the first solution that really works for the home. Right now, K9 is available for free as part of our public Beta program. Get K9 now, and let us know how it works for you and your family.

If anyone is interested, go to http://getk9.com/

Let me know if you have any questions. You'll be supporting workers in Draper, Utah if you do this.

Thanks.

Will it keep Goats Lite 5 RSL 1 off my computer? Now THAT was an obscenity.

Seriously, though; do you have anti spyware & anitvirus products?

We have a spyware category which is active in this beta, so it will block all spyware pages which our spyware team has categorized. Also, if you have spyware on your computer which sends information back to a company, it will block that data from going back to them. It wont, however, remove spyware from your computer.

We also have a Phishing category, but I don't see it being used in the Beta.

If you download this, it will ask for a refering email, use roger.dougass at bluecoat dot com (I'm not using the symbols in order to avoid spam.) My company would like feedback on this, so if you use it, please let us know what you like or don't like.

Thanks again.
