Well, from the sounds of it, congratulations are in order for the RSL FO for recent acquisitions (and it sounds like 2 more are on the way?!?)

I do hope, however, that our lineup settles down a bit by next season and that this season has just been a lineup refining process.

Scholes said on the radio that Cabrera also brought an incredibly physical style of play, in addition to his speed. He may be the acquisition that I'm the most excited about.

Just a reminder, don't forget to vote for MOTM. Suggestions:

Scarlett for his speed
Cabrera for his headers
Gregorio for being good
Tiger for playing hard
Akwari for the equalizer
Williams for good play and the assist on the goal
Nolly for his clean sheet (it was Countess that got scored on)

That would have been a pretty amazing trick for Tiger considering he never even touched the ball on the play. Scarlett took the corner kick that went directly to Akwari's head, so I'm having a hard time figuring out how Tiger was involved. 🙂

I only got to see the last 20 minutes, and only because I full-on sprinted from MBH down to the stadium.

My dad said he was loving Tiger at the holding midfield position, and was impressed with Scarlett and Cabrera.

Where is the replay when you need it 😉

If you are correct, then MLSnet, the Trib and probably the Deseret News need to change their info and give Scarlett the credit he deserves!

(You were all closer to the action, so I'm probably wrong)

I thought Scarlett took the corner kick and got the assist, but whoever it was they played a nice ball in. Tiger also played pretty good at defensive center.

Well, whether he got the assist last night or not he had an amazing game. I hope this proves to the coaching staff that he still deserves a spot in the game, even if it's just as a sub.

Lots of great new chants from the Supporters Corner. We had a blast doing some of them. In the first half, we chanted "Try Bobsledding!" and I looked over at the HV bench and several of the players were staring at us, listening. We also got into the goalkeeper's head and got him to wave to us. (Sucker)

I thought these two teams seemed pretty evenly matched, although RSL seemed to dominate the possession through much of the game. Maybe it's in my mind, but there seemed to be fewer wild balls being shot off into nowhere ("Time to panic, San Jose's gonna win..."), several good chances at scoring that just couldn't get finished, and how about that ref? He seemed to be keeping a very tight rein on the game, including a yellow that escalated to a red within about two seconds. What was the story on that? Several yellows going out to our team as well.

Williams and Scarlett were brilliant in my opinion. I love seeing their runs coming up the side. Jay Nolly had a couple great saves in the first half. When I saw DJ way out there one-on-one right before the HV goal, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Afterward I sceamed, "There! He's freakin' off his line! Is that good enough for all of you??"

Is it in my mind or did the midfield really do there job more than usual this game? Usually it seems like we're playing defensively during most of the game and if the ball enters the midfield, it just bounces back to our defense over and over and over, with few good chances going toward the forwards. (Maybe there have only been a few games like that.) Anyway, tonight the team seemed to be attacking a lot more and the number of shots from each team reflects pretty well how the ball was played.

Just my uneducated two cents. 🙂
Nice report. It was a lot of fun.
I loved some of the cheers too--too funny!
My faves were twice when the Harbor View players where being taken off the field on stretchers.. The RCB/Loyalists.. started making ambulance noises-lol
Then they started singing.. There's only one stretcher...there's only one stretcher. I also liked the Scarlett Fever chant.. Good times.
There were like 3 Harbor View "injuries" last night..either they were really good actors...or they were getting roughted up. lol.

Partially us getting frustrated, partially the turf monster.
