That's what it's like to be the league's most favored expansion team. They want them to be good, so they look for every possible positive.

Palencia and Garcia are good players, even world class at their best. But the league figured out Luis Hernandez, and it will figure out these two.

Hernandez was coming off a great World Cup perfomance and some decent play at Tigres when the Galaxy signed him (and to do it they gave up Clint Mathis, among others). He started strong, but between the more physical play and better athletes in MLS, Hernandez faded and ended up being one of the more expensive duds in MLS history. At least he did better than Lothar Matheus.

What cheetos need is defense, and they haven't done a thing to improve that. As we saw on Sunday, you can score as many goals as you want but if you can't defend you can't win in this league.

These polls are bogus, but they do tell us how east coast writers think. Or in this case, fail to think.

What are they thinking? RSL played the #1 Power Ranked team to a 0-1 result. And that goal came should have never been, but the rookie 'keeper made a mistake. I think RSL's new additions made a HUGE difference...it was just one of those nights that they couldn't reach the back of the net. The San Hoser Smurfquakes should feel fortunate they left Salt Lake with 3 points.

Oh...Chivas Sucks! 👎

I love how the power rankings are supposed to be for the week....
Yet the only thing good they could say about the mini goats is that they will be a power in 2006...

Yet the fact that they still suck this year and even this week... it is a weekly power ranking not a yearly ranking or a bloody predictions article yet that still warrants a better ranking and they still come off better than us...

wtf? with a capital WTF?

That's why the power rankings are a joke.
