Moderators

I noticed you've chosen two moderators. How do you make those choices? And what will their responsibilities be?

(Congrats, if that's appropriate, to the two chosen.)

There are three moderators currently, although they only have moderator priviledges over "The Loyalists" section since they are the founders of the supporters club. It seemed only right to allow the founders to be able to control their area of the forums. So that's why you should see "Moderator" under Loyal1, SoccerPrime, and Czar Jake.

When it comes to Super-Moderators, who can moderate any forum on the board, I haven't chosen any yet and figure it's probably too early in the life of the forums, and this site, to decide yet. I'll let you know when I start thinking about that.

I suppose I could make some comments about receiving that first email to the "founders of the new MLS supporter's club," or being one of the few brave souls to stand both behind AND in front of the RAF during Blitzz games, or actually living in the same state as the team (ha ha Ethan... I just have to make the obvious joke there!), but that would be whining, and I'm not a whiner. Plus, nobody likes to earn anything from whining. Although it would be nice to have an avatar, since I never will on BigSoccer. (Yes, I'm cheap.) And then people would look down on me as the whiner, too, which I would simply detest. Plus I haven't been to any of the meetings YET (I'm waiting to catch a ride with Ethan.... j/k).

So I'm just happy to be here. :D

As far as super-moderators go, you could safely go with Loyal1, Czar Pazzo or SoccerPrime there, too. They all have very good heads on their shoulders and could be trusted to make good judgments. So that's my two cents on that subject, even if it's too early to make that kind of decision.

From what I've read you all seem like nice people, but I do computer security for a living so I'm naturally a little wary, especially when it comes to access to my own systems. Once we get more traffic on here and I start to get a feel for who will be around often, and has a good sense of judgement I'll start dishing out the priviledges.

Neil, can you update us on who the current Mods are and (if any) special responsibilities they have?

Thank you

I like Neil's idea...he knows who is here, and who to choose. It really shouldn't be up to a vote. There have been times when a couple of the afore mentioned have not had a cool head prevale on the message boad. I'm not attacking anyone, it's part of the board history.

Neil will know when the time is right and who is right.

Do I regret this? No. I believe his tissue has made me stronger. I now have the strength of a grown man and a little baby.

I was simply agreeing with her. I'm not suave enough to do a double quote in one response, otherwise I'd have quoted Neil as well 😉. I agree with you too, just for the record.
