Or worse, the ref abandons the game. Or the team gets fined or docked points. __________________

To me, the TV replay showed him to be on. The announcers yapped something about leaning. NOw it's been awhile since I did the ref thing but I thought even was on and they instructed us to go by the feel (ie, an arm being "ahead" ). Maybe that was just the instructor or I just remember it wrong. Side not e: it's always fun in the summer to watch the frogs crawl up on the winders and eat the bugs that come to them attracted by the lights. __________________

I think he was on, I thought so when it happened, I watched the replay and still thought he was. I guess you can't change the decision now.
But the reffing is going to hurt us even more in the next game. Because of the card-happy ref, we will be without Kreis and Williams against Dallas. __________________

Have you every heard such loud boos to end a MLS match?
I mean they were pretty loud on Donovan in SJ last week, but Saturday night was ridiculous. A Red on Williams 5 seconds before end time? 🙄 So how many goals have been scored on RSL now when a opponent has burned Dunny? Revs are going to the MLS Cup for sure. RSL had barely a chance against them and they didn't produce. They did try and did better than Wednesday, but alas it was not enough. Hmm...on the positive side, Gregorio and Scarlett can cross (I almost forgot what it looked like) and Tarley is an upgrade so far from Cila, Selolwane or Washington. Cabrera will be back next week (to start) and I seriously doubt we have to worry about losing him next year to WC call-ups.

I think you are the only one that reported that they barely had a chance against the Revs. The match I saw and from reports that I am hearing from others is that RSL out-played the Revs. I suppose things look different on TV and when the announcers are pro-Revs It was a heartbreaker because when the Revs finally scored in like the 75th, or so, minute that RSL seemed to start playing like they were down by 6 goals. Obviously they were only down by 1 and had plenty of time to come away with at least 1 point but they seemed to stop playing offence and go into a mode that seemed to protect their own goal rather than attack NE's goal. I suppose after that 5-1 drubbing that they were more concerned with making sure the score didn't get any worse, than coming away with a point or three. The goal OK, so RSL ooutscored REVs no question, they certainly played better than the REVs for about 68 minutes, it wasn't Dunny or Kam that got beaten exactly, it was a dreadful short corner that should have been into the box that caused the breakaway as I remember it and if Kam had committed a foul on him when he realised that everyone was still on their way back from a corner, that should have been in to the box, it was so close to the 18 yard box that with that ref you can be certain that nothing would have been certain so most likely since it was just outside the box when he could see nobody else had gotten back, the ref would have blown for a penalty. At least the way he did it DJ had somewhat of a chance although with a great shot like that it's hard to see anyone stopping that (I thought DJ hade a very respectable game, even without much to stop). If he had known that nobody else would be back in time then maybe he would have committed the pro-foul in midfield and gotten a yellow, but who knows, with that ref, maybe it would have been a red?
All in all it wasn't great to see us go down when we played the better football, but the only thing that counts is the score.
