I love to watch the trap when it works, as it just frustrates forwards to death (like when Ruiz kept getting caught offside, or what's-his-name-#7 in the USA/CR game). Problem is, it doesn't happen all that often for RSL. Based on what I saw last night, I'm thinking RSL would be much better off going to a 10-0-1. Tarley up front, everyone else lined up on the goal line in front of the goal.

Technically, it would be a 9-0-1.

Although I do wish we could play with 12 players.

Why? There would just be one more player out there to screw up the trap...🙂

My high school team played the trap to perfection. We were very rarely beat by it. But of course, we weren't playing teams and players as sophisticated as MLS teams and players. I loved the trap though. I can't even begin to count the number of sprints it saved me from having to run.

Maybe they'd let us use a second keeper in goal.

I thought that is what we were playing last night. Or maybe it was a 0-0-10 because we didn't have anyone playing defense either. One thing is for sure, we definitely didn't have any midfield.

I'm having serious issues with Broome and Cutler, at least 4 of the goals last night was because of one of those 2 clowns. Their marking is abysmal.

The only thing they did do well was keep players onsides.

and Dunseth is not a sweeper!!!
