I have not been able to confirm this but how hard is it to tune in tomorrow night, at 7pm MST, and check?

Clint Mathis will be on the Fox Football Friday show live on Fox Sports World, tomorrow, the 7th of January, at 9pm ET to talk about his upcoming return to MLS with Real Salt Lake, his impressions of his time in Germany and the situation with the USMNT lockout.

So wishing I had Tivo right about now... I'll be at the Utah-UCLA gym meet tonight so I can't watch.

If I make it home in time for the re-run, I'll try and tape it or something.

My brother has FSW and Tivo, so I'll get him to Tivo it and maybe bring a copy of it to the next Loyalist meeting or something if I can.

It's so unfair, he's not even a soccer fan and he has FSW, GolTV, and Tivo to boot. 😕 but at least I get to reap the benefits sometimes.

Commando Clint mentioned that Brian Dunseth was on the team.

Is that a Done Deal?

He also said that MLS compares quite favorably with the Bundesliga. (What's he going to say? "The Luxembourg League is better than MLS."?)

He had a few Commando Clint comments, like "I'm paid to play soccer, not watch it."

He was very diplomatic about the USMNT situation, saying that he hopes that it is resolved soon.

He said that he felt that RSL would have a lot of support and he saw some evidence that the fans would get behind the team, but then the announcers cut him off before he could expound more.

I wonder if Jockey or Hanes is going to sponsor Commando Clint, kind of like the way H & R Block gave Ken Jennings free tax preparation for life?

Thanks Jose/John. I missed it myself. We had a lot of talk on Dunseth earlier, but news never increased so we dropped it. I am assuming its taken on more and hasn't leaked (wow).

I tuned in just in time for Clint to walk onto the set decked out in a red RSL shirt with the blue RSL hat.

They showed the clip of his last Bundesliga goal, with the infamous actions toward the Hannover bench. When asked what he was trying to say (by running to the bench and tapping his wrist) Clint explained with a grin, "I wasn't sure how much time was left in the game. I was asking how much time was left." Classic.

Having tuned in so late in the show I didn't get a chance to record the interview. Did anyone else get a chance to tape it? I'd like a copy.
