Sad RSL Playoff factoids

-Jason Kreis hasn't been in the playoffs since 2002.

-DJ Countess, in his third season in MLS, has never been in an MLS playoff game.

-Even when Mathis was playing with Tim Howard for the MetroStars in 2002-2003, they couldn't make the MLS Cup final.

-CRapids need only 1 more point to take the final #4 spot in the Western Conference for the 2005 playoffs.

🙁

We can always have this line to cheer us up:

"At least we aren't Chivas"

Seriously, I'll try to think of some positive factoids, as soon as I think of them.

Well, these aren't about the playoffs but to be positive, we bring joy to others:

-Cheetos got their first win against us. And their second. To make it worse, they only have three wins.

-FC Dallas got their first win at PHP against us.

-When we lost to FCD on Sunday, both FCD and the Galaxy qualified for the playoffs.

-DC United broke a three game losing streak by beating us 3-0 on 31 August.

Actually we were the first MLS Regular season victory for Dallas at PHP. They beat the Fire there in the USOC earlier in the week. So we weren't the first MLS team to lose in PHP.

However DC United actually beat us 5-1 on Aug. 31
🙁

i think the team we have now is MUCH better than the team we had earlier in the season. the problem is that we have had sooo many player and lineup changes we havent really been able to get a 'team' to practice and work together. i think next season will be a better story as long as some players learn how to play off each other, our latest aquisitions have greatly improved our attacking game.

now if we could only get someone to be in the box when scarlett crosses it in we will be set. we just need a forward with the speed of scarlett and has good header ability. then watch out MLS!

What about Tarley? He has some speed and definitely has some header ability. Perhaps a Washington, Tarley front line taking crosses from Scarlett and Gregorio next game?

Heck, these last few games may be some of the most interesting ever as Ellinger has the freedom to play around with all the line-ups he wants with no pressure of losing a playoff spot.
