Will Real end the season in last place in the Western Conference?

Chivas USA secured their first road win vs. the Crew over the weekend. They are now only 2 points behind Real. Will they overtake Real and leave RSL in last place (worst in MLS)?

I'm going to say "no" because what else will keep me going in the morning?

We've got to win the Colorado game to get the RMC, so I'll think we can win that one. I the the game @ SJ is no-brainer. And we have a possibility to win at home against DC. Giving us the potential for 2 more wins this season.

Chivas only have 2 games left (Rapids and MetroStars). I think they'll only win 1 of those, if at all.

The odds are in RSL's favor.

However, nothing in the statistics for RSL make me confident.

No kidding, how many times have we said "we've got this one for sure?"

Chivas 5-1, anyone?

I'm thinking that we will end up on the bottom because it looks like Ellinger is experimenting with his lineup still up top. Watson and Tarley one week, Cila and Tarley the next, 3 forwards, two forwards. Maybe he's looking at who is willing to put forth effort in order to establish his cut list.

I think that figuring out next season's roster is a higher priority than finishing worst or next-to-worst. My guess: players who are so-so will be given more playing time to prove they have value on the team. Those who are already secure in their place will sit it out a bit more to let coach experiment. Except, hopefully not for the RMC game. I want to win that one.

No, Chivas got their last win of the season in against the hapless Crew. And we're going to beat the Rapids 3-0 at home in another couple weeks. 😉

I agree. I don't see it as a bad thing. This season is gone. Let's start building for next year.

Keep in mind that the goats have an easier schedule than we do. We have the defending MLS cup champs, the west's first place team, and the cRapids.
They have Metrotards and the cRapids
