Off topic quote (off topic is not forbidden... off topic is good) sorry! But, let us know where it is at... maybe we can add a 'rapid wave-type mascot thingy' and a 'goat' to the bonfire. 🙂

PS - Not a live goat. A cloth and paper depiction ... a la Pedro vs. Summer Pinata type thing.

Yeah!

Does anyone know if there will be a radio broadcast of this match?
Scholesy?

Yep, it's on the radio as normal. Same time.

I'm just curious, Scholesy, what is 1280's relationship with RSL? I know they're a sponsor, and obviously they carry the English broadcasts of the games, but the matches are always carried in an off-peak spot, and, in fact, the radio signal seems particularly weak at those times. Another thing, I hardly hear any mentions of the team during the day. You'd think they'd want to work in a promo or two, or a blurb on the "20/20 Update" - just say something - if they're going to be broadcasting a match. I'm wondering if they think they're really getting anything from the deal.

(Thought I'd add that I'm sooooo thankful for the broadcasts! It's been more-or-less my lifeline to the matches no thanks to my horrible school/work schedule! Great job!)

You must not listen very often then. They are always on the updates on fridays and mondays, plus the weekly interview with Coach, occasional interviews with players and sometimes chat about the game, not so much from The Big Show, but the other shows would talk RSL.

Normally they're pretty good at talking RSL, some presenters don't like soccer, but overall they've done a ecent job I think. Obviously for me I would rather they talked little else other than soccer but that's just me.

They are as you described them partners for this season and have been really good at broadcasting live, i think there are only a couple of games that haven't been live. Ryan Hatch in particular has made a point of talking RSL daily and has really helped convert a lot of people to soccer.

glad you listen, hope you enjoy the broadcasts.

<Sidenote: I assume most people here know, but there are probably some newcomers who don't.... Scholesy is the "color commentator" for the radio broadcasts. You know him as "that British guy">

So who's all going to the match tonight? Really not a meaningful game, but I'm looking forward to throwing a few insults the way of Romo. Hope the weather doesn't scare people away. Remember for most of us, it's the last time to cheer for RSL until about next April.
