Timing

I was thinking that there are a lot of cheers and other things that could be done at time specific moments. For example, most of the time, when the goal keeper takes a goal kick, we yell "OOOOoooooohhhhhh, you suck!"

And after the player intros, when they intro Ellinger, we do "R-S-Ellinger."

What other things can we do at time specific moments in the game?

I was thinking we could find ourselves a time in which everyone holds up their scarf. I believe Czar Jake called it the Sciarpata or something like that, I'm no Italian. But it would be cool if we coordinated, so we could look like this:

What about cheering a certain cheer as they intro the other team, like "Welcome to Rice-Eccles, boys" or "You've come a long way." One of my favorite moments of the season was Trumpetman's rendition of "Taps" during the intro to the Gals early in the season.

I also thought it would be cool if we had a particular time in which we all threw a streamer, aside from when goals are scored. They look better when they all come at once. Maybe at kickoff or at halftime.

When and what? Any ideas?

Trumpet man put his trumpet in storage....what a fool.

We need to bring something where we can play taps...cowbells don't work so well.

I'm all for the supporter's version of the national anthem as well.....we 4 part harmony very well.

Yeah, about that. I bet it would be cool to get a few guys to do the national anthem at the first game next year. Who can we talk to about that?

BTW - I'm not kidding. A lot of you guys have good voices, and it would be pretty cool to have a bunch of the supporters belt out the national anthem.

What about us girls? Or were you going for more of the barbershop variety? (I figure that's a little more manly than saying " 'N Sync variety" ....)

Sure - I meant to be general neutral with "guys."

Cool. I can sing soprano or alto or tenor or... well, that pretty much covers the extent of my abilities.

Edit: I've noticed it always seems to be a soloist at sporting events. Is this tradition? Is it tradition that can be broken? If we could get approval for a little supporters "choir" thingee, I could recruit a few talented people via my voice teacher if we needed to fill in parts here or there.

From what I have heard at the games, we won't need any help, just a couple practice sessions.
