Palencia may return to Mexico

And cheetos continues to go all pear-shaped:

Palencia may return to Mexico

Question. If RSL was such an organizational disaster this year, as several "experts" have said, then what does that make cheetos?

Here's hoping that Vergara sells the team to someone who is serious about builging an MLS team. As it stands now, cheetos is both a joke on him and insulting to the rest of the league.

Maybe we should just send them to Toronto.

Agreed.

The problem is, and always has been, that they think that just having Mexican players, or at least Latino players, makes them the best team in the league. They just don't understand how they didn't beat everyone. They really don't get it, and are incapable of getting it. They simply have an inflated view of the mexican league, while at the same time underestimating the "American" league. In short, they can't see past their own prejudices (who can).

I thought you weren't allowed to go from League to league, as Palencia might do?
Oh yeah I forgot MLS and FIFA rules apply only to some MLS teams.

Naw, the issues with Chivas USA make RSL's look worse. They took a coach that had shown he wasn't cutting in the MLS any longer on to build their team. And at that they placed a lot of artificial contrainsts on themselves. They made a tough job even harder from the state. We didn't limit ourselves in those ways and were yet only a whisker better in the end.

It's 1985. It's always been 1985. It will always be 1985. The USMNT consists of amateurs, college students & indoor players. Members' Only Jackets are the peak of fashion. Sigue Sigue Sputnik rules the airwaves.

After Columbus & Port Of Spain, competition for spots on the Tri for Germany should be wide open.

Of course, Lavolpe will pick his buddies. But in theory, Paco could be in the mix if he impresses at the club level.

Maybe Garber/MLS Management told CDC USA that their exemption from the Salary Cap only applies if they sell more tickets than the Rochester Rhinos?
