I did not draw out for a Nessie tag. I will just have to shoot people whine about having to drive to Sandy. They are a hassle to clean, though. Signed, -Guy who used to drive from Fullerton to Pasadena 2-3 times per month and 4-5 times per season in weekday LA traffic

These "Real Sandy" ppl are getting annoying.
Do they even know where the NY Giants, NY Jets, LA Galaxy, FC Dallas, Chicago Fire (soon) and Miami Fusion (ok that doesn't work) play? At least its still in SL county. Ugh.

Hey, Prime; did you get a Care Package?
Also, didn't the Mutiny play within Tampa city limits? How'd that work out? Don't the Devil Rays have the lowest attendence in MLB now that the Expos are in RFK? Don't the Devil Rays also play within Tampa city limits?

I'm not hating on the Mutiny. It was the management, or lack thereof, that did them in; not the fans.
I even bought a Mutiny pin at one of those pin trading events during the 2002 Olympics. I wear it proudly next to my LA Salsa pin. But all those "RSL is going to fail because it's in Sandy" pendejos make me laugh. The Galaxy are selling out in a suburb that up until 2 years ago was only notable for oil refineries and gang warfare. And the Mutiny imploded in the biggest city between Miami & Atlanta. (Tampa is bigger than Orlando?) They gave at the posters at the DCU game and the bags at the Rapids game.

Tampa didn't really implode.
It doesn't help a team when the "League in Massive Red" is running the team and no rich guy wants to own it. When MLS wanted to cut the fat, Tampa had a big target on its collective head. And yes, Tampa is much bigger than Orlando: http://www.stateofflorida.com/Portal/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=95 BTW Jax is bigger than Tampa and between Atlanta and Miami. Sorry, I am a geography guy. I can't resist.

👎 Well, several things about Jeremy Millsap are very obvious:
First, he doesn't like or care at all about soccer. Second, he hasn't been paying attention to what has occurred so far. He doesn't know ANYTHING about the situation, the team, the season (other than wins/losses), attendance, or previous political maneuvering that has led to this decision. Third. All that being said, he should have heeded the saying, "It is better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt." -- Silvan Engel __________________

"Don't cry for me, Salt Lake City" by Jeremy Millsap I read that article in the Chrony this morning and I just had to laugh. The Chrony has indeed sunk to a new low.
I love his wanton disregard for facts, such as trying to say that SLC gave Sandy 8 million dollars. And has anyone ever heard the FO complain about the lack of attendance at RSL's "stupid games?" We did in fact suffer one of the worst seasons in MLS history, but our attendance was second to only LA!! Even better is his assertion that RES and SLC have done so much for the team, and that RSL has now decided to "stab us in the back" and move to Sandy. Well, he's probably just a freshman, but here's the link if you'd like to square him away: letters [at] chronicle.utah.edu
