All these articles of might could, and possibly could just remind me of how great it will be to have RSL in a soccer stadium.

I think that's in part because RSL still hasn't presented the final version of their plan. I'm sure once they do (I think I heard early next year), then a lot of current questions and "problems" will probably be resolved.

But many more will no doubt appear.

It's too big of a project to just slide through.

Amen. I guess I was trying to say we don't need people (especially the media) to be "creating" problems before we know if they've been addressed.

I don't think this will be a smooth project either, it needs discussion/approval on all sides.

I agree. I think the media is simply grasping at any straw of controversy. Anything to make a story where none exists.

Every time they quote anyone from the team, they have said something to the effect that they weren't planning anything like that, anyway.

I don't know what they ARE planning, but apparently it is not that. In other words, as I said before, they are trying to create a story where none exists.

The good news out of all of this is that ReAL is still in the news...

That's very true. If soccer were still considered a guaranteed failure, then no one would bother.

Although some still disparage it and refuse to admit its legitimacy, the continued press and political interest shows we are taken seriously.

I think it is safe to say though, don't get your hopes up that the stadium will be ready for 2007.

2008 seems more realistic.
