Not sure this is something to be proud of or not. Making lots of noise (including unfriendly remarks towards officials and opposing players at appropriate times) is one thing, but I don't want visiting players to have to dodge many more empty liquor bottles. Kind of sheds a bad light on us.

Agree, but I think S37 is going for the same kind of recognition that our fans got in Denver a few weeks ago. They were so loud and annoying to the CRapid fans that they were told to quiet down. Unbelievable.

I sure don't want to see fences, moats, gun emplacements or any of that. And no one should ever throw anything on the field, especially objects like bottles. But I sure want to make sure the visiting team (or the home team in away matches) knows they're up against RSL and the rowdiest fans in MLS.

If we don't want stuff thrown, remind those at Carnival Real to stop passing out batteries.

Naturally I agree with that statement. But still

I think that if a player has to worry about taking a Big Gulp in the side of his face as he runs up the side

That works to our advantage. I know it's crass, but I like that our crowd has a very sharp edge.

What we need to do is make the players afraid without actually assaulting them. That's the trick.
