Argentina vs. England [R]

Guess who just ordered the pay-per-view for this match? Me!
The two sides are playing in Geneva, Switzerland (neutral) on Saturday the 12th. They are showing it at the Crown and Anchor here in Las Vegas, but I'm not dumb enough to wear my clesete and white in there. I don't know why they call these matches friendlies. This is certainly is not. My prediction: Lampard will break a leg, Beckham will come out of the closet, and England will lose 3-1.
Discuss.

Pretty straightforward really ...

The Argies will spend the entire game throwing themselves on the grass at every opportunity, tripping on blades of grass, imaginary legs, and every gust of wind. Beckham will set up 2 glorious goals one from a freekick and Lampard will break some handbag Argies leg; then he'll score from said Beckham free kick.

It'll be 3-2 to England and the Argies will say it "wasn't fair, they weren't ready, the game should really have been theirs cause they saw it hundreds of years a go but just never did anything about it". Then they'll say "it's unfair because although they started the scoring how come England is allowed to score too?" as England then score 3 goals.

I do think Geneva is one of the weirdest places to play a 'friendly' between the Argies and England.

Either way I'll be screaming for the three lions.

On a more serious not was that not a brilliant comeback? 2 goals Owen genius striker goals in five minutes - the last 5 minutes no less.

How happy am I right now? Ooo, gee, let me see, we beat the Argies - with 3!!!

Considering the schooling the Argentinians gave to Brazil not so long a go I think this is a great showing from England. Argentina is sure a quality side though (even with all the theatrical drama they insist on doing), boy they can play and were certainly the better of the two teams for the forst 30 minutes of both halves I thought. Still who cares, England won. Overall though, great game, my heart won't take much of those games next year though! After 3 should have been penalty calls not called I thought for sure that the game was not going to go our way, (yes I can admit that only 2 were definate but I'm a fan, it should have been 3 penalties to England.

Either way I don't hate Argies, ok, only during the game, I'm just over the moon we won.

Easy there Scholsey, this was a friendly and it wasn't that long ago that England lost to Northern Ireland. :D

I know, that's just one more reason to show we can actually beat decent teams. This was so much more than a friendly for everyone.

Either way we won ... yeeeaaaahhh. 🕺
