I can tell you it is definately CG, some was real of course - like the juggling, but no one is that good to hit the posts like that every time. Defo CG. As for saying he's worthy to be compared to the best the world has known? Hmmm ... first of all Maradona 'cheat whenever you can if the drugs aren't available' is not and never will be worthy to be mentioned in the same breath as Pele. He was and is a classless, cheating, inconsistent player who was certainly good and showed at times glimses of genius and marvel. But he isn't close to being one of the best players ever. Now, Ronnie? He may well be getting there, he's probably the best in the world right now at what he does. And if he is still around in a few years and as good then great we'll take a look at him then and maybe say he's one of the best players the world has ever seen. But until then it's a little rash don't you think? I mean it seems about every two years we hear of the new Pele, some genius kid who is 'the best kid ever'. It never turns out that way. I'm not saying he won't be but I'm just bored of hearing 'he's the one'. As for the best player ever? I think it's between two players, Pele and the player who Pele says was the best to ever play ... George Best. Last edited by Scholesy : 11-21-2005 at 11:58 PM.

I agree he might be the best now, but all I'm saying is that I don't think he is the best the world has known. I'm not sure ESPN would be my choice for knowledgable soccer writers either. that doesn't mean he didn't have a genius game or that he isn't the best in the world today; will he be next year? I don't know. I think 'best' is such a subjective word, I mean are we saying that he is the best at everything? Cause his free kicks aren't exactly good now are they? Best all round, maybe, probably. But certainly not the best the world has known, that judgement is best left to history.

Not really sure the relevance of "best player ever" designation. Maybe it makes interesting banter at the water cooler or on sports talk radio but I'd rather just watch great players play in the context of the game in their time.
Is Ronaldhino an all-time great? Who knows? Eye of the beholder. But as a Barca fan--and a soccer fan--I sure enjoyed watching the guy go to work on the Galacticos. Awesome performance. __________________

It's so not real, the Nike rep told me straight that it wasn't real.

You can put up as many articles as you want, it doesnt prove anything, I'm not saying he's not the best striker in the world right now, I'm saying that I'll reserve judgement on im being as good as Pele or 'the best ever' until he's been around a bit longer. I also think it's a bit subjective, I mean best defender? Midfielder? Striker? All rounder? Pele lists Best as his all time favourite player. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/4309502.stm Last edited by Scholesy : 11-26-2005 at 02:43 PM.
