RSL's first home game in 2006, Vs. Metros?

Just a little bit of info on the first 2006 home game schedule.

Metros to open at D.C. in 2006

Freddy Adu's first game of the 2006 season will more than like take place on April 2 when the MetroStars visit D.C. United. As for what team Adu will be on, that remains to be seen.

The MetroStars' first three games of the season will be home openers, one of their own and two on the road. They open at RFK Stadium against D.C. on April 2, then they will play host to New England at Giants Stadium on April 8. The MetroStars will then travel to Utah to play Real Salt Lake on April 15.

Your welcome Jim.

For the record, Ellinger said last month that RSL would play their first 2 games on the road. Pesky scheduling problems for home games around the time of LDS General Conference. 😉

Not saying that your wrong, but Revs are playing Gals at HDC the day before.
Does HDC do back2back games alot?

Is it me, or is it odd that RSL is starting their 2006 season on a Sunday, during Conference and away? Doesn't that put possible attendance/tv ratings in jeopardy?

Not to be a total hag (although I am), but why would the Cheat-os schedule their home games around LDS conference?

Oh I don't think Chivas or most ppl give a crap. Just seems that it might not be the best possible ratings producer for RSL and MLS overall.
Of course, I was just making an observation. Chivas and MLS can schedule whatever whenever.
