Josh Wolff Clarification

Josh Wolff is no longer being considered by Everton FC.
http://www.evertonfc.com/news/index.php?page_id=8104

Everton has changed their official word from "on trial with" to to "training with" while still referring to him as an MLS Striker. that is premiership language for "no longer interested"

Is this good news for Real Salt Lake?

If he comes here, that would be crazy for one reason. During a shouting match with 37, he lamented being "pissed on" the whole game by the our fans

and I told him to come play for us because then we'd worship him.

Pissed on? did we motivate him? please tell the story.

Rumour is he wants to play in Salt Lake and one reason he gave was that he thought the fans were amazing.

Now this is just speculation but maybe RSL looked passed Gaven and let Mathis go for a song because they have a line on Wolff.
Obviously this is conjecture on my part. Because I hope we can get Wolff.

Wolff, Kreis and Williams in the mid with Cunningham and Tarley up top.
That will be awesome.
Before anyone has a go at me over my choice of Tarley. I think with Mathis gone Tarley will break out and amaze even the most staunch of detractors.

I believe in Tarley!

During a break in play, he walked over to our side for a drink (which was provided) but he settled right in front of 37 (bad move).

Naturally, we told him to go to his own side for water and various other services etc. and he exchanged a few words with us, mostly dirty looks so it was great fun for everyone.

During a lull in heckling, Sctn 37:20 asked him for his jersey (cheeky ba$t@rd, I know which is why he's so fun at the matches) and he responded that he wouldn't because we'd pissed on him the entire game.

That's when we invited him to play for us.

It all goes to show that we really do have the best supporters in MLS. We don't need no stinking poll to tell us that. The players can tell us that themselves.

The only knocks I have against Wolff are his salary and that he's most likely goning to be gone for a long a time next summer at the world cup.

He'd certainly be nice for a stretch run and in the years to come though. I think I could live with him being gone for a little while this summer.
