I'll amend the motion.

Be it resolved

that any RSL mascot of any kind, large or small, of any dress, cute or ugly, for any purpose, fan diversion or retail bait

must wear at all times a red and white bulls- eye.

The bulls- eye must be of sufficient size that it can be clearly made out from all points in the stadium

And must be visible at all times

To ensure correct targeting and delivery of RSL fan paraphenalia

such as Big Gulps, liquor bottles, streamers, etc.

Is it illegal in Utah to set mascots on fire when you see them? How about throw flaming bags of poo at them?

I don't mind having a mascot, a good portion of the EPL have mascots, my favourite is Moonchester at Man City. Of course they have a little league with competitions for them including a mascot grand national; which is mostly made up of Rugby tackles and dirty play but it's a lot of fun to see. What's the big objection to mascots? Legit objections I mean?

I have no objections, as long as the abovementioned conditions are met.

Mascots are just kind of cheesy and pointless.

What's the legit reason to have one?

They make kids smile. Good enough for me. I can ignore them/harass them and let the kids have their fun. 🙂

You may have a point there... most of my friends' kids are positively terrified of Swoop (the U of U mascot) and watching them freak out is kind of entertaining. :meanoldhagsmiley:
