An RSL first!

Mathis called into camp

The first of many for RSL players over the years.

It looks like we'll miss Besagno this summer too with the U20's

I found this interesting. This is one of the Mid fielders being called up. Clyde Simms (Richmond Kickers)
How does a guy make it to the National team but not MLS? Is this somebody we should look at?

Maybe there was a bit of Glengarry Glen Ross Glen Arena when the Replacements/Scabs were practicing?

-Player who works hardest in the Replacement/Scabs practice gets to be a warm body for the Varsity camp and a chance to work out for MLS scouts.

-2nd place gets some extra drink coupons for the flight home.

-Everybody else, including Utah Blitzz Nemesis Dustin Swineheart goes home.

If they ever remake that movie or make a sequel, couldn't you just see Bruce Arena as Al Pacino's character?

Even more interesting to RSL fans is that Clyde's teamate and fellow midfielder, Joey Worthen, who was also an alternate(aka scab), was NOT retained.
