Time to prepare?

Well, can you believe it? 2006 is here and with it a new season not too far away!

Has anyone been doing anything to prepare for the comming year?

I haven't......other than put down my season ticket deposit. But how 'bout some discussion so we don't get caught off guard as the season gets closer.

About all I have thought about are my flags. I am committing to show up this season with 5 flags.

I'll have two new flags identical to my first;

This beauty will make a proud return;

And then "Big Bertha" will be put on a diet and slimmed down to the same size as the others.

I haven't started rolling streamers yet but that should start soon. Anyone up for a "Welcome Back Streamer Salute"?

I'm looking forward to the scarves and new season merchandise.

On the subject of scarves, I think we need to broaden our horizons. Check out all the choices a Chicago fan has when it comes to scarves.

http://procart2.evocative.com/onionbag/category.jsp?category=FIRE

They have 14 different scarves to choose from! And very few mention the name of the supporters group, most either mention the team itself or poke fun at the team's enemies.

I'd love a I'm a Crapids hater or Got Chalk? scarf. Or how 'bout See you around San Jose? Or even Bramble is Satan.

i believe the inventory is from annual scarf orders. For example, we are putting in an order for scarfs, the same one. Say at the end of the year, for whatever reason, we have some left over and next year we want to do a new scarf...BOOM, we now have inventory and two scarf selections.

Scarfs aren't cheep, but I think it's a good idea to have a scarf making fun of each team, I just don't think it's realistic to have them in year 2 especially when you still don't have the loyalist scarf.

Me too, except that no one outside of our area would know what it is about. Maybe we can get "Got Chalk?" scarves and send one to Senator Bramble (I think that was his name, wasn't it?).

There is a Loyalist Scarf in the works and should be ready in plenty of time for opening day.
It does not say "Got Chalk?"! That is something maybe for future orders.

How about a T-shirt with "Got Chalk", black with white letters that looked like they were written in chalk?
